Training in OHS Risk Awareness for Managers
Half-Day Course
Participants enrolled in this course will gain a working knowledge of:
- key elements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act of NSW (2000) and associated regulations of 2001, particularly with regard to the roles and responsibilities of supervisors and managers;
- the role of WorkCover NSW in ensuring that each workplace complies with this legislation and in providing support to non-compliant workplaces in order to raise their standards; and
- OHS policies relevant to specific industries, and existing strategies that have allowed those policies to be successfully put into practice.
This course complements the Roles and Responsibilities for Managers course. For this reason, both courses will generally be conducted on the same day and we recommend that participants enrol in the full day program.
