Training in OHS Roles and Responsibilities for Managers

Half-Day Course

This course is intended for managers who wish to develop further managerial skills in consultation with their CEO or General Manager, so that the information delivered in this course will be specifically tailored to train managers in the existing OHS risk management policies of the organisations that employ them. Participants enrolled in this course will learn how to:

• manage OHS risks and incidents in the workplace when they arise;
• engage in proactive rather than reactive risk management practices in order to reduce the likelihood of future incidents; and
• identify other industry-wide OHS policies not currently implemented in their workplace; and
• develop strategies for implementing those policies in order to further promote workplace safety.

This course complements the Risk Awareness for Managers course. For this reason, both courses will generally be conducted on the same day and we recommend that participants enrol in the full day program.
