2-Day Course

This is a two-day course made up of four components—Hazard Reporting, Incident Reporting, Hazard and Incident Investigation, and Hazard and Incident Report Analysis—each of which is completed in half a day.

Hazard Reporting and Incident Reporting (day one)

A hazard is a workplace feature or obstruction that may cause injury to a workplace employee or visitor, and an incident occurs when an injury is caused or when an injury is only just avoided in a "near miss." Participants enrolled in this course will learn how to:

Hazard and Incident Investigation and Report Analysis (day two)

Wherever a hazard is identified or an incident occurs, the law requires that an investigation be conducted and that its findings be reported. Investigation reports can then be analysed in order to identify safety trends in a particular workplace, which then allows workplace managers to implement preventive risk control measures and to proactively ensure the safety of the work environment.
